Kindergarten to Grade 8
Aspire's elementary program offers highly structured, small classroom environments that focus on traditional academic subjects as well as social skills, communication, self-regulation, independence and more. This program is guided by the academic standards of the Ontario Curriculum (kindergarten through grade 8) and is follows a traditional school day schedule. With a thoughtful combination of group-based learning and individualized teaching, students learn at their own pace within a classroom.

This program is ideal for school-aged students who can advance through the Ontario curriculum but have difficulty learning in traditional large-group settings, and/or require an adapted curriculum.

What to expect:
Our Kindergarten to Grade 8 programs are modelled after typical school life. Teachers follow the Ontario Curriculum but break each teaching subject into concrete and measurable learning goals, making the provincial curriculum more accessible to students with unique learning needs. While there is a focus on teaching academic subjects, students also learn other skills that are essential to their overall success.
Evidence-based ABA strategies are incorporated into the entire day and are used to optimize the learning environment and motivate the students. Teachers use group goal setting to teach students how to work with others towards a goal, like a pizza or dance party!
The smaller-group ratio allows our educators to give each student the individualized guidance and support they need to flourish.
Students engage in project-based learning, group and independent work, physical education, sports, music, art and mindfulness. They also spend plenty of time outside on our 12-acre campus which features an outdoor classroom, play structures, a sensory walk, basketball court and skating rink. 1-to-1 support is built into each students' schedule to create additional teaching time for more challenging academic tasks or opportunities to proactively learn skills that will help them thrive.
